The Phoenix, an ancient mythical bird, is a symbol of Hope.

The bird reaches maturity and is consumed in flames and is reborn

. . . out of the ashes!

The original Phoenix was commissioned and painted by artist Geoffrey Eyden of Staffordshire, England for the Phoenix Inn.  I purchased the rights to use his Phoenix.  I am grateful to his sister for giving me a copy of the original so I could use it as my symbol of Hope and Rising out of the ashes of Adversity.

In Spiritual Direction, what you see initially may not be the whole picture.  Standing on the top looks rather easy, but in context, it is an incredible climb - but so worth it!

Private spiritual direction is offered to all those who wish to grow in their faith and deepen their intimate relationship with the Lord.

Group spiritual direction is offered to those who wish to grow as a community deepening their faith, be it as a committee, a board, or a small group.

Supervision for Spiritual Directors is also available to encourage and affirm directors as they continually grow and develop.

Ignatian Spirituality

The Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola are offered from September until May each year.  In these Spiritual Exercises in Everyday Life, you will meet for spiritual direction bi-weekly and have instruction bi-weekly (on opposite weeks)

Ignatian spirituality as well as Ignatian retreats are available at any time one would like to develop and explore their spiritual well-being.

Spiritual director discernment is offered over a one year period for those who think they may be called to the ministry of spiritual direction.

In this Icon by Robert Lentz, Saint Ignatius is inviting us to enter silently into God's presence to encounter God within our hearts.  He reminds us of our constant need to discern God's will in the signs of our times and in our lives.
